WhatsApp messaging and the Amanda assistant
Some of our clients use Amanda, the WEHES WhatsApp assistant, to talk to their own customers. Amanda runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. If you message a business that uses Amanda, we process on that business’s behalf your phone number, WhatsApp profile name, message content, files and images you send, voice message transcripts and any meetings you book. We use this data only so that the business can reply to you, offer a meeting time and see the conversation history in its dashboard. The data controller is the business you are talking to; SIA Wehes is the processor. Message delivery is handled by Meta under the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. To draft replies we use an AI language model (Anthropic), which receives only the conversation text, never your phone number. Data is stored in the European Union (Frankfurt). Conversation history is kept while the business uses Amanda and no longer than 24 months after the last message. You can request deletion at any time as described at amanda.wehes.lv/datu-dzesana.
